So far so good. Have only had it a week. Put a hundred rounds through it at the range. NO problems.Makes a very good conceal carry.

The P11 Reliable and Cost Effective

The Kel Tec P11 is one of those weapons that is easy to form a love/hate relationship with. I love its reliability while at the same time forming an immediate dislike for the trigger. But since the DAO trigger also doubles as the safety, I have learned to live with it! I have an even greater dislike for thumb activated safety''s and de-cocking modes!
After several simple modifications and several hundred rounds through the pipe, I can honestly say that you can pay more for a CCW weapon, but I doubt you will find any that are more reliable. The Hogue Handall Jr. rubber grip cover, the trigger shoe and magazine extension from Kel Tec made the P11 a more pleasurable experience to shoot. It''s light weight however, makes it a handful, though not unmanageable, especially with +P loads, being comparable to the recoil of a .40SW. But its reliability and accuracy at close quarters make it a top performer at a very reasonable price!
I have pumped a wide variety of different loads and ammo brands through my P11, and have yet to have a single jam or FTF! The gun has been 100 reliable since I took it out of the box! I''ve read where other people have had feeding problems with their P11''s while using certain brands of ammo due to excessive cartridge length. I tried several of these mentioned brands in my P11 and had no problems with any of them!
My cartridge choice for CCW is the Remington Golden Sabre +P 124 gr.BJHP. This is one accurate, hard-hitting projectile regardless of what you may read elsewhere, and the cartridge offers good availability at most sporting outlets. Ammo choice however, is a personal decision, and any choice must be reliable in a given weapon.
Overall, for a weapon in the $300 or less range, I can say the P11 is well worth the money especially for those on a budget. Kel Tecs are not intended to offer the smooth lines a $700 Sig Sauer. But I will put the P11''s reliability beside any cadillac brand bar none! In my opinion, anyone considering the purchase of a CCW weapon whether primary or backup, should consider having at least one of these in their arsenal!

Kel-Tec P11

I have owned my P11 now for about 1 and a half year''s and I also have a Ruger P95. I carry and fire the P11 more and find the recoil and accuracy to be excellent. The recoil is little more than the Ruger. Accuracy at close range to be really good. Never has it jammed or miss fired. I''m not real good at cleaning every time I fire it either. Anyone looking for a dependable weapon to concealed carry this is a excellent choice in my opinion. I would make the same choice again. I am 70 years old and I find this to be an excellent weapon. Ammo is very reasonably priced and fairly easy to purchase too.
